Labels: spring show 2011 |
Tomorrow is the big day! It's finally here! The painting, sanding, finishing, aging, shopping, crafting is finally over...for now!
Tonight we setup the big shed for a beautiful day of wheeling & dealing tomorrow! We are SO excited to show off our "new" inventory - it's junk-tastic! We've been working on purchasing truly older pieces & feel like we've gotten most of the way there this year. We have something for everyone! If you want older pieces with original chippy paint, or pieces with fresh funky paint we are sure to have it!
We also have several amazing vendors setting up with us! Darby from Underground Vintage Studio will have some amazing handcrafted items such as pillows, stuffed animals, wreaths - you name it she does it! Casey Jarnagin of Tiny Treasures will be showcasing some beautiful handmade jewelry, headbands, and crafts you will fall in love with. And then, who doesn't love the purse lady? You want an amazing hand bag - you will find it with her!!
Please come out to see us! The hours are 10 - 2.

It's fabulous & super solid!
Room Redo - After

We finished up this bedroom today for a young girl & are thrilled with the results. We were able to mingle new purchases with some old finds to create a funky fresh space. We worked with existing wall colors, furnishings, and bedding to help keep costs low & design a room with Sadie's favorite things!
The room was already pink, orange, and lime green with some stars. She also had this fabulous handmade quilt from her grandma to work with.
Annie sewed pillows to coordinate with the bedding & we added in a throw as well.
She has a small room, but we were able to incorporate a vanity area. She had the yellow chair & we painted her vanity white to make her furniture look more like a set.
She didn't have a dresser before so we found this beauty out junking & it's small enough to fit perfectly, but large enough to hold a lot of clothes! We paired old vintage boots on the dresser with some daisies to give a little funk to this side of the room.
We took a vintage lamp and painted it yellow to match her chair. With a new drum shade wrapped in multi-colored yarn it gives a pop of funk, and gives her another area to stick some of her beloved photos and ticket stubs!
We added a small corner shelf to showcase her collections & a trophy she has won. We found fabulous curtains to warm up the space that also provide a pop of color.
Old garden fencing was perfect to create a bulletin board type area above her bed. She has some serious Bieber fever so we were able to incorporate her prized photos of Bieber into the room.
We had some old molding and with hooks it created a place for her to hang her favorite things. Every girl needs a vanity table so this was the perfect size for her to work her magic!
The best part about this room is that we were able to utilize a lot of what Sadie already had. That saved our client money & it kept the space very personal. We purchased some new things & combined them with old finds to create a young & fresh, funky bedroom!
Did you know?

Did you know that the girls at EE also do a little bit of custom art work? It's true! Abbie is our go-to art girl. If you've got an idea, we will do our best to make it happen. Here are some recent requests and the art that came became of them.
For Brittany: 3 Dinos for her little boy's room, to match black, blue, and lime green beddingl
Each painting was acrylic on a 16x20 canvas.
For Casey: A whimsical, funky, guest book tree. (All the guests at her wedding will roll their thumb over an ink pad and stamp their prints to form the leaves on the tree)
This was marker and color pencil done in brown on off-white heavyweight paper. We can't remember how big it was, but close to 24x30 so everyone's prints fit.
For Maggie: A funny painting of her brother and sister-in-law (Kolby and Tiffany) for Christmas.
This is them...
And this is their funny long-necked painting....with their dog Olive included!
Those are just a few of the most recent jobs. Hope you loved them! If you have any questions or requests send them our way and we'll get you a quote!
