Black Vs. White

There is something so stunning about the contrast of black & white.
Pair the two with a pop of color and you really have a statement!

Can you imagine blogging in this room? It's absolutely gorgeous.

We all have a serious disease from our grandma. It's call animalprintitis. We love and adore any animal print. Even a small pillow thrown into a room is so appealing to us. Especially in this room that is already breath taking!
As always, you can't go wrong with a great stack of books. Anytime we are having height issues while decorating, we bring out a stack of books and voila - varying heights equals a great look! Then pair some black & white with color and we love it!

We love the floating shelf & the wall mounted lamp. It's very sleek! Throw in an all white bed & you are sleeping in luxury.

We love the pairing of these two chairs and this desk. Nothing is over-decorated allowing you to feel completely relaxed while you work. Just beautiful!

So please tell us, is black and white a staple in your home?

Pink is Fabulous

We have a very eclectic taste between the three of us. We truly hope you enjoy seeing our love of many styles on this blog.
Pink is a serious weakness for all of us!

This bathroom is divine. From the girly pink tile, amazing sink, to that tub - wow - can we move in?
The bedroom combines two of our favorites - turquoise & pink! Then you have an amazing view into that bathroom! So stunning!

Jewelry is something we also adore. So why not set it out? It too is eye candy and the perfect accent to show off your style!
Plus the quote here rings so true, "Don't be afraid to be passionate about what you love. If you love pink, do all pinks and reds. If you love camels, collect camels."

What a great use of prints in this space.

We love mismatching prints, and are often surprised on how well things do come together.

Again, with our love of pink and all things mismatched - we adore this room as well!

Flea Market Chic

Feeling Flea Market Chic? Here are some great ideas for any budget. Bring fresh looks from the outside in!
An old banister becomes a mail station - we love this!

Isn't this bathroom fantastic! We love dressers turned into sink vanities! We also love the bathtub in cased in the chippy tin. It's stunning & Maggie wants it!

The idea of creating a four poster bed with old porch posts is a great idea. We are loving this look!

A mantle becomes a headboard. Wouldn't you love to call this your own?

Layering old family photos between two glass jars creates a showpiece that is also functional. Another fantastic idea!

Shutters are always a favorite of ours. There are so many ways to bring these from the outside in - we could devote an entire post to it!
So what is your favorite look? Do you have any architectural pieces inside your home?

Someone to Love

Oh Heather Bailey - we love you!
You make us weak in the knees like we are 16 year old girls again!

Isn't this workroom stunning! And that bookcase of fabric - so envious!
Annie would just have a heart attack to walk into a space like this to sew!
Her fabrics are just so cheery and fun!
Oh this chandy in a bright lime green is amazing!
Her use of bright colors is right up our alley!
Now - we just have to find a fabric store that carries her line. In central Illinois - fabric isn't so easy to come by! So far we've drove up to an hour away with no Heather Bailey!

Ethel Edith

Who are we?
We are three very close sisters - best friends really.

We are ridiculous when we get together.

We often crack ourselves up at our own stupidity. We call ourselves "Stupid, but in a good way".

We LOVE this!
Abbie painted a self-portrait of us girls for our mother for her Christmas gift. We have been dying to share, but had to wait!
(Please excuse the background - this is a cell phone picture photo).
Isn't it fabulous! It's really bad, but in a good folk art type of way. We seriously love it! The best part is it totally looks just like us. It cracks us up every time we see it! Now Annie wants, scratch that, needs a great big one to hang above her couch. Fantastic!

Merry Merry

To celebrate Christmas we thought we'd post some serious eye candy in the form of trees today since it's our last day of the holidays to fully appreciate them!
What a stunning room & tree! Love the mantle!

A stunning entry! We love the feather & bottle brush trees

Again - fabulous small tree!

This tree is super creative! It has tons of clocks which is so unexpected! We love the fun color against the paint color & staircase. It's fantastic & so cheery!

We are a white tree kind of family, but something about this tree is so fantastic! We think it's maybe the varying branches that are poking out combined with the multi-colored ornaments & glittery gilded pine cones.

More bottle brush trees - we say the more the merrier!

We want to wish you and yours a very merry & safe Christmas season!

Scrump-diddli-umpcious

Maggie is preparing to redo her bedroom. She thinks she wants to do some more whites for a shabby chic or cottage feel. We see Maggie to be both these looks with a little color infusion. Here is some inspiration for Maggie's master bedroom as well as her future home (she plans on building in 2011!)

We love the pops of color here. It would be even better with a white bedroom & a bit more white on the bed!

This is just stunning! Love the screen behind the headboard & the chandelier!

How cute is this room for Caroline - Maggie's baby?!? We love the pink with all the white accessories to pull the look together. Throw in some blue & it's fabulous!

This room is just gorgeous. We love the detailing of the bed with the mirror. So light & bright - topped off with the perfect chandelier.

Chippy paint makes the table, love the white painted floor, and white cabinets with glass fronts to showcase your glassware - umm yes this is a gorgeous kitchen!

Another room that we are in love with. The pinkish coral bedding is the star against the blue walls. We also are loving the rug. It's adorable!

What an oasis. So airy and fresh. Makes us want to just jump in that tub & stay awhile!

Some of our favorite things! Mercury glass and branches create a gorgeous display.
